The Ze-O is coming

We’re just one week away from the start of this year’s British International Motor Show, which promises to have a greener theme than any previous event in the show’s history. As if our appetites hadn’t been whetted enough, the NICE Car Company has released the first images of its Ze-O electric MPV, which will make its global debut at the event.

According to Julian Wilford, co-founder of the NICE Car Company, the Ze-O is “genuinely spacious and affordable” and will answer consumer demand for practical electric cars.

The Ze-O was styled in Europe and manufactured in China. It boasts a range of up to 65 miles in city driving with a top speed of 55mph. The company also states that optional lithium-ion batteries will soon be made available, which should expand the vehicle’s capabilities.

There will be many benefits to the Ze-O for the average consumer as it will be exempt from both road tax and the congestion charge. It is just the latest offering from the company which also produces the NICE MegaCity, which has a range of 40 miles and a maximum speed of 40mph. The car is due to be released in the UK in the autumn and will be made available to the rest of Europe in 2009.

If you want to be among the first to see the NICE Ze-O up close and personal then check out the British International Motor Show which runs from July 23-August 03, 2008 at the London ExCeL. For ticket information, click here.
