Citroen reveals its air dreams
July 18, 2008 Posted by: Paul Lucas
After surveys earlier this week revealed confusion among Brits about how green cars and CO2 emissions are advertised, Citroen is ready to introduce a new environmental programme for its award winning LCV range called Airdreams.
The Airdream logo will offer neat reassurances to consumers that the Citroen vehicle it is stamped on meets the following criteria:
- It has CO2 emissions of less than 120g/km or
- It is fitted with a diesel particulate filter or
- It meets Powershift Band 4 standards.
In addition, the Airdream logo also means that the vehicle in question is manufactured in an ISO 14001 certified factory and that it is designed to be 95 per cent recoverable or recyclable at the end of its life.
The vehicles in the Citroen range that currently meet the criteria are:
- Nemo 1.4HDi SensoDrive (116g/km).
- Nemo 1.4HDi manual 5 speed (119g/km).
- C2 van (113g/km).
- C-Crosser Commercial and Dispatch 2.0HDi 136hp DPFS - these are the first LCVs in Europe to be fitted with diesel particulate filter systems.
- New Nemo 1.4i Dual Fuel van (meets Powershift Band 4 requirements).
- Berlingo First 1.4i Dual Fuel van (meets Powershift Band 4 requirements).
The new Airdream programme will be unveiled at the British International Motor Show from July 23-August 03 at the London ExCeL.
