Survey reveals Brits really care about the environment

A recent survey has revealed how concerned British people are for the environment and how we are looking to decrease their environmental impact.
The Touch Points2 survey commisioned by IPA (Institute of Practitioners in Advertising) and published last month reveals that:
• 62 per cent of adults are concerned about their impact on the environment.
• 85 per cent of adults make a real effort to recycle waste.
• Rather depressingly, 22 per cent of adults feel that what they do in life doesn’t make any difference to the environment.
• Best of all however, low carbon emissions are high on the list of must haves for 52 per cent of all adults, when they look for a new car.
The survey interviewed some 5,400 British adults aged over fifteen to analyse their media consumption, attitudes and habits between late 2007 and early 2008.
