Volt heads to Hollywood

Which vehicles would you expect to star in a Hollywood production? Perhaps James Bond’s famous Aston Martin or a Ford Mustang like the famous Knight Rider Kit car?

Well actually Hollywood will have a much greener outlook in one of the forthcoming summer blockbusters as the Chevrolet Volt has been cast in a major role.

The vehicle will play the part of “Jolt” an eco-friendly Autobot with a conservative fossil fuel habit in the movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Indeed the Volt won’t be the only General Motors’ fuel conscious vehicle in the spotlight. The Spark, which was previously known as the Beat and is slated for production in 2011, will play “Skids” while the Trax concept car will play the role of “Mudflap”.

All of the vehicles are Autobots – the good guys in the movie – which is beginning to look like one long General Motors commercial!
