Green Star to perform plug-in tests

Within four weeks, Green Star Products will publicly test its plug-in hybrid electric vehicle.

In April, the company, along with international consortium partner Global Green Cars, publicly tested its first full electric vehicle at tracks in Utah and Kentucky. The successful demonstrations included test drives from a variety of people such as government officials, legislators and race car drivers.

Now, a demonstration of its plug-in hybrid technology will take place at Corbin in Kentucky where the vehicle will be test driven and evaluated by industry representatives. The company is hopeful that over an eight hour delivery day simulation, the plug-in hybrid will exceed 150 miles with efficiency of more than 75mpg.

According to Joseph LaStella, the President of Green Star Products, the demonstration will be the next in a series of public demonstrations. The company hopes to offer the vehicle to the public in the future with a price range of around $25,000.
