UK drivers get chance to test drive Tesla Roadster

One of the most hotly anticipated green cars in recent memory is the Tesla Roadster, and now drivers in the UK will get a chance to test drive the vehicle ahead of its release.

Tesla Motors has confirmed that it will be attending the 2009 London Motorexpo which takes place within the marble lobby of the Canary Wharf Estate’s primary building at One Canada Square and is completely free to attend.

UK customers have the first public opportunity to test drive what has been dubbed the most efficient high performance sports car on the planet. Don Cochrane of Tesla Motors commented about the company’s excitement to participate at the event and said he is hoping the company can show consumers “how good electric cars can really be”.

The event’s managing director Graeme Carver, commented: “We are pleased to be welcoming Tesla Motors, as a new exhibitor, to the 2009 Canary Wharf London Motorexpo and I am sure that their Roadster will be a big hit with our ever growing audience.”

The London Motorexpo takes place from June 8-14.
