Leno gives Aptera his seal of approval

Ever been envious of ? Not only is the guy a world famous talk show host, but he also gets to play with some of the coolest, greenest cars available well before the rest of us as part of his web series ’s Garage.

Now Mr Leno has taken the all-electric for a test drive and has fallen in love with the three-wheeled wonder. He even jokes that he only wishes Astro from The Jetsons was sitting alongside him.

He believes that this has something very special because almost everyone they pass is taking a picture of the car with their cell phone. He states that making electric cars exciting rather than clunky, unglamorous vehicles is the key to making them a sales success.

Of course it will be quite some time before we get to sit behind the wheel of the Aptera 2e, presuming we will ever be able to afford it – so for now we’ll just have to settle for living vicariously through Leno.

Who is this “we”? :) I don’t know about you, but I expect to get my Aptera 2e with a base price of about $30k, plus a few k worth of options, this winter. ;)
