US Lexus pricing revealed

Orders for the Lexus HS250h have already surpassed expectations and now the US retail price of the vehicle has been revealed.

The fourth hybrid in Lexus’s line-up will carry an MSRP in its standard form of $34,200. The premium model meanwhile will be available from $36,970. These prices do not include delivery, processing or handling fees – the vehicles are expected to arrive in dealerships beginning in late August.

According to EPA estimated ratings, the vehicles achieve 35mpg city and 34mpg highway for a combined 35mpg with regular 87-octane petroleum. The HS250h therefore has the best miles per gallon rating of any luxury vehicle available in the US.

In addition, the car boasts Lexus’s first four-cylinder petrol engine alongside its hybrid system. With a twin-cam Atkinson-cycle engine with variable valve timing with intelligence that has an output of 147hp on its own, the car is able to generate 187 total system horsepower with the combination of the hybrid drive motor.

No European pricing for the Lexus HS250h has yet been revealed but we will bring you those details as soon as we have them.
