There is a new member of the Vauxhall Opel ecoFLEX family: the Vivaro Combi ecoFLEX.
The vehicle offers some significant environmental improvements over the standard van. For one, it slashes carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by 19 grams; and it reduces fuel consumption by 0.6 litres per 100km.
The Vauxhall/Opel Vivaro Combi EcoFLEX comes with a 114hp (85kW) 2.0 CDTI engine with an automated Easytronic six-speed manual transmission. The nine-seat van consumes fuel at a rate of 31.8mpg and has a CO2 value of 194g/km.
The ecoFLEX version of the Vivaro represents Opel/Vauxhall’s low fuel consumption and reduced CO2 line that includes special injection nozzles and modified engine management to show how fuel consumption can be reduced with relatively low-cost intelligent technology.
With 2.7 tons permissible gross vehicle weight, the ecoFLEX model can be ordered with 90hp or 114hp engines – emission levels are then 199g/km.
Meanwhile, the Combo ecoFLEX commercial van with its 1.3 CDTI engine emits 134g/km and has a fuel consumption rate of 46.1mpg.
