Report: Toyota to unveil new car

There is exciting news for the emerging Indian market, where Toyota plans to introduce a new compact car.

The company’s production and sales subsidiary in the country, Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private Ltd will unveil a new concept along with 13 other concept and production vehicles at the 10th Auto Expo automobile show in New Delhi, which runs from January 5-11, 2010.

Few details are known about the new compact car at this stage, but reportedly it will be unveiled as part of a Press conference on January 5. Other vehicles on display will include the redesigned Prado and Fortuner SUVs as well as the India market-leading Innova minivan.

The display will also look at Toyota’s approach to developing modes of transportation for the future and will include the i-REAL personal mobility vehicle, as well as the Fine-S fuel-cell hybrid vehicle and other concepts.
