Full details will be released at the show, with the firm simply issuing a teaser sketch for now. It is confirmed however that the concept vehicle is a 2+2 seat electric city car with a range of up to 160 km per  charge. Using the firm’s engineering know-how the vehicle has a lightweight and yet strong body structure and promises to use ‘innovative electric and recharging systems’.

Developed in collaboration with Fortum, a leading energy company, the new car benefits form the energy firm’s extensive know-how in recharging systems. Thanks to the co-operation with Nokia, the car is equipped with a pioneering Human Machine Interface through mobile handset connectivity. The booth will also showcase a demo based on NAVTEQ’s high-quality map data and content which enables green routing and driving functionality use cases.

Valmet Automotive’s new concept will be on display at the Geneva Motor Show when the doors open on March 2, 2010. Stay tuned for more details.
