After a tumultuous few months which saw its future in doubt, the Saab brand has now launched its brand new 9-5 in the UK as one of the greenest alternatives in the premium saloon sector.
Described by Saab as its most technically advanced vehicle ever produced, it includes features such as an aircraft-inspired head-up information display; adaptive headlights; DAB radio; MP3/iPod integration; adaptive cruise control; dual-zone climate control; and XWD with electronic LSD.

The Scandinavian design is driven by an all-turbo powertrain line-up with the focus on both performance and efficiency. All transmissions are six speed and start at 1.6litres with CO2 emissions as low as 139g/km.
There are two levels of specification available. These are the Vector SE, which includes a 1.6T petrol engine and 2.0TTiD twin turbo diesel engine with features such as keyless push button start/stop, park assist, electronic climate control and cruise control; or the higher Aero specification, which includes the 2.8T petrol engine and adds leather sport seats, alloy pedals, a sport chassis and more to the Vector’s standard specification.
The new Saab 9-5 is available to order from Saab dealerships now with prices starting at £26,495 for the Vector SE 2.0 TiTD 160PS and ranging up to £37,995 for the Aero petrol 2.8T 300PS.
