Sustainabilitylive! opens to the public on Tuesday, April 22, at the Birmingham NEC with a special show focused on green transport.
Over 400 companies will be exhibiting the latest advances in excellence and innovation, while a panel of 250 speakers representing industry, government and the public sector will be sharing their expertise in the business response to the low carbon agenda.
The show which covers all aspects of the environmental sector is made up of five special exhibitions: BEX (Brownfield Expo), ET (Environmental Technology), NEMEX (National Energy Management Exhibition), IWEX (International Water & Effluent Exhibition) and SB (Sustainable Business).
Expected to be the UK’s largest gathering of environmental practitioners, the show this year features for the first time a dedicated green transport element contained within Environmental Technology (ET) section of the show. Exhibitors range from Birmingham University’s hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, AEA Technology (Van Best Practice), the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders and CABLED (Coventry & Birmingham Low Emission Demonstrators)-one of eight UK projects taking part in the Ultra Low Carbon Vehicle Demonstrator programme.
Also at the show will be an impressive line-up of speakers from Arval, British Vehicle Rental & Leasing Association Committee, Car Plus, DfT Freight Best Practice Programme, Energy Saving Trust, National Business Travel Network and Professor Julia King of the Committee on Climate Change to discuss topics including greener fleet management and electric fleet vehicles.
Event director, Donna Bushell comments: “Sustainabilitylive! is unique in being able to offer visitors access to the leading players in five key sectors; a visit to Sustainabilitylive! is a valuable spend of time. We’re pleased that so many companies have joined us this year, and will help to make this truly the leading gathering for excellence and innovation in responding to the sustainability agenda.”
Taking place at the NEC Birmingham from Tuesday April 20 to Thursday April 22, the show aims to tackle many of the issues facing businesses today with its free seminar programmes and conferences, along with product displays and guest speakers. It is also free to attend.
