Congratulations are due to mobile phone network provider AT&T which has hit a significant milestone in the deployment of alternative fuel vehicles.
The company has reached 2,000 alternative fuel vehicles and 1,500 compressed natural gas vehicles as part of its corporate fleet – meaning it now has one of the largest CNG fleets in the US.
Currently, the firm has a fleet that includes more than 75,900 vehicles and it announced in March that it plans to replace a further 15,000 vehicles with alternative fuel models by 2018.
In total, the company is investing around $565million into the project and will buy around 8,000 CNG vehicles during a five-year span at an anticipated cost of $350million.
