Latest Smart models to boost environmental performance

The new generation of the Fortwo, scheduled to be launched this autumn, will boast a number of green improvements compared to its predecessor.

Among them, the 40kW turbo-diesel will feature fuel consumption of 71.3mpg with CO2 emissions slashed to just 86g/km. Indeed the optimised petrol engines will also set new CO2 lows with the 45kW and 52kW models to consume around 56mpg and boast CO2 emission figures of just 97g/km. The 62kW version meanwhile consumes 48mpg and has corresponding emissions of 114g/km. 

Elsewhere, the power output of the BRABUS version has been increased to 75kW with CO2 emissions at 119g/km.
