Skoda is presenting a complete new GreenLine range at the Paris Motor Show as it opens this week.
The new range will see a ecological variants of the new Yeti and Superb wear the GreenLine badge for the first time. The badge-designed to denote the carmaker’s lowest emitting fossil fuelled vehicles-will be displayed on vehicles using the 1.6 TDI CR 105bhp engine (as in the Octavia, Yeti and Superb) and 1.2 TDI CR 75bhp engine (as in Fabia and Roomster). As well as fuel-efficient engines, the GreenLine models will make full use of technological solutions such as a stop-start system and energy recuperation to further increase fuel economy.
The second generation GreenLine range will see the Fabia and Fabia estate models offer emissions from just 89g/km CO2 and fuel economy of 67.3mpg on a combined cycle. Meanwhile the Roomster GreenLine will have fuel consumption of just 67.3 mpg, which Skoda claims is a record in its compact MPV class. The frugal model will also have emissions of just 109g/km CO2.
Meanwhile the Octavia GreenLine will be available as both a hatchback and an estate will have combined fuel consumption of 74.3 mpg and CO2 emissions of 99g/km; while the Estate achieves a figure 67.3 mpg with CO2 emissions at 109g/km.
The Yeti GreenLine will prove the fuel frugal nature possible in a crossover vehicle, with combined fuel consumption of 61.4 mpg and 119g/km of CO2. The trademark performance is not compromised as the Yeti GreenLine remains a very agile car. It accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in just 12.1 seconds and can reach a top speed of 109 mph.
Finally the GreenLine versions of the Škoda Superb and Superb Estate offer fuel consumption of 64.2 mpg, with CO2 emissions of 114g/km.
The full range will be on display at the Paris Motor Show as it opens to the public on Saturday, October 2, 2010. It will be the first time all eight models of the Czech carmaker’s range have been seen wearing the brand’s green badge.
