GM electric vehicles heading to G20 summit

The Seoul G20 Summit Committee and Seoul Municipality will be graced by 10 battery electric vehicles from GM’s South Korean unit, GM Daewoo Auto & Technology.

Demonstration fleets of the Cruze and Lacetti Premieres will be part of the event as GM attempts to gather information on the functioning of pure battery electric vehicles worldwide.

It is expected that three battery electric Chevrolet Cruze vehicles will be used by the foreign media; while seven battery electric GM Daewoo Lacetti Premieres will be used by the summit committee.

The vehicles are equipped with 31kWh battery packs that generate maximum power of 150kW. On test schedules with LG Chem, they achieved a range of up to 160km and were capable of racing from 0-100km/h in 8.2seconds with a maximum speed of 165km/h.
