European pricing for Opel Ampera revealed

The Chevrolet Volt is about to hit the roads in the US… and now more details have been revealed about its European counterpart, the Opel Ampera.

The vehicle will go on sale for €42,900 – including national VAT – with Opel already taking reservations for the extended range vehicle. This means that in Germany, which has 19 per cent VAT, the Ampera will have a net price of €36,050 – prices in each country differ based on the trim levels offered from market to market.

Opel has also confirmed that it is researching customer preferences in terms of financing and leasing schemes with these options to be announced later.

Anyone wishing to reserve an Opel Ampera can reserve a vehicle at opel-ampera.com. Sales are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2011.
