Hyundai reveals plans for new car

Hyundai has released the name of its new car for Europe that will make its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

Known as the i40, the vehicle will be launched in wagon form with a saloon car to follow later in the year.

The vehicle was designed at the company’s European research and development facility in Russelheim, Germany, and will be its first D-segment model specifically for Europe.

Part of its design will be the signature hexagonal front grille and rakish lines, which offer a sporty appearance. It will also be Hyundai’s most innovative model with the latest environmental technologies developed under its Blue Drive programme and a powertrain line-up with best-in-class performance and fuel economy as well as low CO2 emissions.

More details will be revealed closer to its launch.
