Arrive ‘N’ Drive the latest green cars

As fuel prices continue to spiral, the chance to see and test drive the latest fuel-efficient cars on the market is a must for any organisation running a fleet.

As this year’s GreenFleet Arrive ‘N’ Drive  event nears, the timing couldn’t be better for those looking to cut CO2 emissions and fuel bills. Taking place in May at the Rockingham Motor Speedway, this year’s event promises to be more exciting than ever. The leading fleet event which champions the use of low and zero emission vehicles, will give visitors the chance take in a huge range of products and services that help reduce the running cost and CO² emissions of their transport operations.

Arrive and Drive

Rockingham Motor Speedway, Corby, Northants on May 26, 2011

Already confirmed to attend are Honda, Citroen, Peugeot, Hyundai, and making their debut at the event, Vauxhall. Vauxhall bring with them a unique opportunity- the Arrive ‘N’ Drive will be the first place UK Fleet Managers will get the chance test drive the Ampera, Vauxhall’s dynamic range-extended electric car.

The 2011 event sees the Main Showcase Arena move up to the Outer Paddock area. This is two times the size of last year’s area, and  will allow manufacturers to showcase more vehicles than ever before, meaning you get the chance to test drive and experience a bigger variety on the day.

A special EV Arena will now be located in the heart of the Main Showcase Arena, and will have its own mini test drive circuit. Sponsors EDF Energy will be on hand to advise on recharging infrastructure issues  – a hot topic in electric vehicle rollout. Meanwhile a Innovation Zone  will give fleet managers the chance to experience new technology, including hybrid commercial vehicles and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.

If you are interested in attending, it couldn’t be simpler, and more importantly, it’s those in the fleet and transport industry. If you register now you could be in with a chance of winning a superb Garmin SatNav system at the event. Please click the event logo link, go through to the website and fill in your details. Don’t forget your drivers licence on the day and you might discover how you can help your organisation save money….and the environment.
