It is hard not to get carried away with Nissan’s latest all electric concept, the ESFLOW. TheGreenCarWebsite.co.uk has been invited to an exclusive viewing of the shiny, two-seater ahead of its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show in two weeks time.
So what do we know about the concept so far?
Firstly, the Japanese carmaker is out to prove that the electric car can be sexy, and while the LEAF has a great style and charm of its own, this concept simply oozes curb appeal. Secondly, Nissan has poured a serious amount of time and effort into ensuring that it can perform. Featuring two motors (one on each wheel), this rear wheel drive sports car can hit 62mph from a standing start in under five seconds – that’s quick.
Following the LEAF theme the car has been designed from the wheels upwards, which means the ESFLOW isn’t a conventional-powered car with the guts ripped out and batteries stuffed in, instead starting with a blank sheet of paper has allowed the designers to distribute the weight evenly.
The designers at Nissan have also distributed the batteries in an optimal position for responsive and sporty handling.
Inside the Nissan ESFLOW, the two sculptured seats are upholstered in a tan/gold leather and this continues onto the dash, with the multifunction display reminiscent of the LEAF.
