With fuel economy estimates in excess of 40mpg, the new Honda Civic HF and the Honda Civic Hybrid, set for release in the US*, promise to be more efficient than ever before.
The Civic HF will be the most fuel efficient petrol model in the line-up. It comes with a 140hp, 1.8litre i-VTEC engine and has fuel economy of 41mpg. Meanwhile, the 2012 Civic Hybrid has a lithium-ion battery and a larger 1.5litre i-VTEC engine with fuel economy at 45mpg – an increase of 4mpg compared to the current Civic Hybrid.
