Belgium’s capital city Brussels will soon be engaging in an electric car sharing scheme.
The Societe Regionale d’Investissement de Bruxelles and Zen Car are partnering to set up the scheme which will begin in March and may be supported by the state.
It is expected that 29 cars will be put into circulation with charging possible at around 15 parking spaces in the centre, the east and south of the city. Drivers will have to pay fees to participate including a €40 joining fee, a €6 monthly subscription and a €7 hourly rate regardless of the distance covered.
Reports indicate that Brigitte Grouwels, the Brussels Minister for Public Works and Transport, may integrate the Zen Car into the public transport system.
