Opel boosts its ecoFLEX family

The European branch of General Motors, Opel, has made two enhancements to its family of ecoFLEX vehicles.

The Corsa 1.3 CDTI ecoFLEX will now combine a 70kW powertrain with start/stop technology to produce combined fuel consumption of 67mpg and emissions of 94g/km of CO2.

Meanwhile, a new version of the Opel Astra 1.3 CDTI ecoFLEX will also feature start/stop technology. It reduces CO2 emissions from 109g/km to 104g/km and has fuel consumption of 60mpg. The five-door hatchback will also be available without the start/stop system with emissions at 109g/km.

In addition, the start/stop technology is already available in the Agila, Corsa and Astra and before the end of the year will be offered in the Meriva, Insignia and Zafira.
