Electrifying new guides for EV buyers

Buying a new electric car can seem like a big and daunting step even for the most technologically-keen people out there. As such, wouldn’t it be nice to have a clear, concise and unbiased guide to making the switch to EV drive?

Well now you can! A new series of Electric Car Guides are now available, providing the answers to some of those key considerations you are likely to mull over when looking at ditching the old oil drinker for something cleaner. The series covers everything from a general overview to specific guides on individual models.

Best-selling author, Michael Boxwell, is a long-term electric car owner and provides his readers with with first-hand accounts, impressions and facts on these
exciting, cutting-edge vehicles.

Available to buy now, the series includes The 2011 Electric Car Guide  as well as model-specific guides available for the Mitsubish i-MiEV, G-Wiz, Nissan Leaf or Peugeot iON.  A guide to the THINK city will also go on sale in the summer and will be available to pre-order from May 2011.

Boxwell has been involved with electric vehicles since 2003, originally running a company that promoted and sold battery-powered vehicles throughout the UK and Ireland. More recently, as the founder of one of the largest electric car clubs in the world, he talks with other people who use these cars every day. In addition, Boxwell regularly meets with the car manufacturers who are building these cars.

"The latest electric cars from companies like Nissan and Mitsubishi are fast, fun and provide a great driving experience. With ever-rising fuel costs, they also break our dependency on oil."

"The books also look at the environmental benefits of electric cars, contains a directory of all the electric cars you can buy today and contains testimonies from other electric car owners", he adds.

The 2011 Electric Car Guide, published by GreenStream Publishing, is available to no now, priced from £9.95. More information available at: http://www.theelectriccarguide.com

There is going to be a big delay before UK gets any more shipments from Mitsubishi and Nissan.

I built my own pedelec LEV. Range is excellent and if the battery runs out of juice, I just pedal a bit harder. Well actually, quite a lot harder, it’s hilly around here, but hey! I have saved a fortune and no monthly fees, no tax, no petrol, no insurance payments, ultra small (can park with the motorcycles) and the bonus of staying fit too ;)
