Perhaps the most talked about fuel cell car in history, will soon be making its way to Germany as part of the Clean Energy Partnership.
Honda has become the latest member of the programme, which focuses on fuel cell vehicle and hydrogen infrastructure. It brings together the expertise of carmakers, infrastructure and energy companies, as well as the German government and is designed to prepare the ground for market entry of hydrogen mobility in Europe.
The Japanese carmaker has actually had fuel cell vehicles on European roads since 2009, but will now introduce two of its Honda FCX Clarity fuel cell electric vehicles to support these activities.
Honda joins the campaign at the same time as industrial has supply company Air Liquide, and Dr Klaus Bonhoff, the chairman and managing director of NOW GmbH (the National Organisation for Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology) believes the partnership’s continuous growth is indicative of the industry’s commitment to making zero emission mobility a possibility.
