Fisker selects EV Connect for charging solutions

Electric sports car maker Fisker Automotive has signed an exclusive deal with Californian-based firm EV Connect  to install and service recharging equipment to owners of its Karma model.

The deal with the EV recharging specialist will also mean the car maker’s 47 dealerships throughout Canada and the United States will also fitted with recharging points to create a recharging network.

Before Fisker Karma buyers even leave the showroom floor, EV Connect will initiate the installation process for their Fisker-branded charging equipment for home or workplace charging.

The Karma, a plug-in hybrid sports car, available to buy in parts of Europe as well as North America, has a range of up to 300 miles, a 0-60mph  time of 5.9 seconds, a top speed of 125mph and emits around 83g CO2/km.

Announcing the partnership with EV Connect, Marti Eulberg, VP Global Sales and Marketing at Fisker Automotive, said: “Everything we do at Fisker revolves around the customer experience, so we choose our partners with great care and diligence.

“We want to provide all our customers with a totally seamless experience and this partnership ensures that Fisker drivers across North America will receive the high level of quality service that they expect from the Fisker brand, beginning at the point-of-purchase all the way through to their charging experience at home.”

“A brand like Fisker requires a platform that shares the same efficient, technology-driven DNA to seamlessly support the nationwide roll-out of Karma chargers,” said Brett Hauser, COO of EV Connect. “From order fulfilment to installation and warranty repair, our proprietary web-based solution provides the level of transparency and service that Fisker customers and retailers expect from this new line of luxury electric vehicles. ”
