The Company Car In Action show, hosted by Fleet News kicks off tomorrow with a special section dedicated to electric vehicles.
Called the Electric Vehicle Village, the show will be one of the first places for many of UK’s fleet managers to try out electric vehicles. Models including Vauxhall’s range-extended Ampera, Reanult’s ZE range including the Kangoo electric van and the Citroen C-Zero are all expected to be at the show for fleet managers to find out more and try them out.
The latest low CO2 combustion models are also expected to gather for the show, which takes place at the Millbrook Proving Ground, Bedford between Tuesday and Wednesday this week (28-29 June 2011). Ranges including Volvo’s DRIVe, Ford’s Econetic, Honda’s range of hybrids, Kia’s EcoDynamics, Skoda’s GreenLine cars and Toyota’s hybrid models will also be at the event, which is designed to keeping fleet decision makers up to date with latest economical cars and vans.
As with last year’s show, Company Car In Action focuses on saving fleets money through the use of the lowest emission vehicles as possible. The Energy Saving Trust (EST) will also be holding a Eco Driving Challenge where drivers will learn more about the fuel saving potentials of using eco-driving techniques.
