We’re gearing up for the Frankfurt Motor Show – and now another automaker has announced it will debut a new car at the event.
This time it is the turn of Japanese car manufacturer Mazda, which will hold the world premiere of the new Mazda CX-5 compact crossover SUV at the motoring showcase. It is the first of a new generation of Mazda products that will feature its SKYACTIV technology.
The Mazda CX-5 is expected to feature the full range of SKYACTIV technologies – this means it will include both SKYACTIV petrol and diesel engines, as well as the automatic transmission, body and chassis.
Its engine line-up will include the SKYACTIV-G 2.0 petrol engine and the SKYACTIV-D 2.2 diesel engine. They will be available in both standard power and high power versions with targeted CO2 emissions at less than 120g/km for the standard version.
The planned introduction to market is early 2012.
