The Los Angeles Auto Show, which opens on November 16, will play host to two all-new models from Honda.
The Japanese carmaker will debut the Honda Fit EV (electric vehicle) at the event, as well as the 2012 Honda CR-V.
The battery electric Fit EV concept made its debut at last year’s LA Auto Show with the production model appearing this year. The original plan was for it to include a lithium-ion battery and a high density coaxial electric motor derived from the FCX Clarity fuel cell electric vehicle; with the vehicle to boast a top speed of 90mph.
It has targeted an estimated 100mile driving range using the US LA4 city cycle – that’s 70miles when applying the EPA adjustment factor. The driving range can be maximised using a three-mode electric drive system.
Meanwhile, the CR-V has established itself as one of the best selling SUVs in the United States– the fourth generation will showcase a new exterior and interior styling, as well as improved fuel economy and additional technology.
