Volkswagen CC boosted by green technology

This year’s Los Angeles Auto Show will mark the introduction of the new Volkswagen CC saloon car, which will boast an array of green technology.

The new CC will be powered by petrol and diesel direct injection engines; with all of the diesel models to be equipped with a start/stop system and a battery regeneration mode meant to recover braking energy. The petrol engines will also feature the battery regeneration functionality.

Despite the environmental improvements, the TDI engines will still be powerful with an output of 103kW/138hp and 125kW/168hp. The petrol engines meanwhile will develop 118kW/158hp and 220kW/295hp.

In addition, the Volkswagen CC, which made its debut four years ago, will boast a number of additional features including Side Assist Plus with integrated lane assist; dynamic light assist; and a camera-based traffic sign detection system.
