Response to Government National Registry of EV charge points

November 11, 2011

In response to the Government’s news of a new National Registry of charge points for electric cars across the country and a Central Whitelist to make it easier for motorists to access charge points without having to sign up to new schemes each time they are in a different location, TheGreenCarWebsite.co.uk’s editor Faye Sunderland says:

“We welcome the news the Government plans a National Registry of charge points. It will help reassure the public that the country is indeed building and expanding its electric infrastructure. In this digital age, there is no reason why essential charging point location information cannot be shared.

“If the Government can succeed in its mission to unify membership to allow drivers to use charging points wherever they go in the country; this will represent a big step forward in encouraging more businesses and individuals to drive electric.”
