New Honda engines boost fuel economy

In an effort to broaden the appeal of the Honda Crosstour, the Japanese carmaker will introduce new four-cylinder, two-wheel drive versions of the vehicle in the US next month.

The new Honda Crosstour will feature a 2.4litre, 16valve DOHC i-VTEC four-cylinder engine capable of producing 192hp and 220Nm of torque at 4,400rpm. Despite its impressive power capabilities, it can offer fuel economy of 24mpg – beating the V6 model at 21mpg.

Among its features is a five-speed automatic transmission with Grade Logic Control. Indeed along with the debut of the new four-cylinder models, the Honda Crosstour will now incorporate a large amount of equipment across its entire range, including: an automatic dimming rear-view mirror; convenient auto on/off headlights; a rear-view mirror back-up camera display for improved rear visibility; and a Bluetooth Hands Free and USB audio interface.
