SEAT’s new Exeo slashes emissions

SEAT’s new Exeo saloon and estate models are now arriving in showrooms, with lower emissions, improved economy and enhanced styling.

Priced from just £19,480, the new Exeo models feature a revised ‘face’ with new bi-xenon headlights and LED running lights (standard on Sport models and optional on SE spec’ cars). New alloy wheels and new premium interior materials, including improved leather on the steering wheel create a premium look.

Best of all, improvements to SEAT’s 2.0TDi common rail engine see emissions cut to as little as 129g/km while economy is boosted up to 58.9mpg (combined cycle).

An Exeo Ecomotive is also set to arrive in the UK soon, and will offer the best efficiency of the whole Exeo line-up thanks to the addition of fuel-saving technologies including Start/Stop technology.

SEAT is aiming for an emissions figure of under 120 g/km for this Start/Stop-equipped Exeo which will, to provide private buyers and UK fleet managers with a fuel and tax efficient model choice.

The Spanish’s car maker’s executive saloon and estate car line-up is now its third best-seller in the UK behind the perennially popular Ibiza supermini and Leon five-door family hatch.

SEAT UK Managing Director Peter Wyhinny said: “The showroom arrival of the freshly upgraded Exeo range comes at a great time for SEAT.  With another record year under our belt in 2011, and sales continuing their upward trend so far this year, our dealers are already busy.

“The revised Exeo is yet another reason for buyers to visit – and that’s all before the new Ibiza supermini range and brilliant new Mii city car make their UK debuts.”
