We’re not usually of a soppy nature here on TheGreenCarWebsite.co.uk, but this was one we couldn’t resist. What with it being Valentine’s Day and all, we thought we’d let you know about a fab new competition from Renault to promote its new Twingo, with a distinctive romantic twist.
The French car maker has teamed up with Yahoo to find a lady who is planning to take advantage of the leap year and propose to her man in a fun and innovative way.
The woman considered to have the most Va Va Voom in her idea for a February 29th proposal, will not only win a new Renault Twingo Dynamique, a night in a London hotel, all travel expenses and meal for two, but also have her innovative proposal filmed and broadcast on the Yahoo! UK website.
The new Twingo Dynamique, which went on sale this month is worth more than £10,000 and achieves a respectable 55.4mpg and 119g/km CO2. Creative singles who do not plan to get married just yet, but know how they would like to pop the question, will also have the chance to win the car.
Plus, two runners up – for those women planning to get engaged this leap year – will win a night in a London hotel, a meal for two, travel expenses plus a DVD of their special wedding proposal to remember forever.
There is also a prize for two runners up – a night in a London hotel, a meal for two, travel expenses plus a DVD of their special wedding proposal to remember forever.
The competitions will run hand-in-hand on the Yahoo! website with a closing date of February 20th for those planning to get married and February 29th, the date girls are traditionally allowed to propose to men, for the dreamy ideas that catch the judge’s eye.
To enter the leap year marriage proposal competition visit uk.lifestyle.yahoo.com/renault-twingo-competition/ and submit your innovative idea. Winning couples will need to be available to travel to London on February 24th.
Good luck and Happy Valentine’s Day! xx
