Peugeot 208 set for EV & Low CO2 Fleet Show premiere

Peugeot are set to debut its sub-99g/km 208 supermini at March’s EV & Low CO2 Fleet Show.

The 208 will launch this June with six sub-99g engines – five of which are diesel – with the cleanest option slashing CO2 emissions to 87g and an average fuel consumption of 76mpg.

Organised by Fleet World magazine, the event at Silverstone will be the perfect springboard to launch the new 208 said Phil Robson, Peugeot’s Fleet Director.

He commented: “The event will allow customers to get up close and personal with our new editions, from the ultra low emissions of the new 208 engine line-up and the pioneering 508 RXH, a 200bhp, 4WD vehicle which emits a meagre 107g/km of CO2 and, for a 40% taxpayer, a BIK monthly cost of only £130.

“The EV & Low CO2 Fleet Show is the ideal opportunity with the ideal attendees to show off these exciting new products.”

Peugeot will also be bringing along the 508 RXH diesel hybrid which utilises the same diesel electric powertrain as the 3008 HYbrid4.

Toyota and Lexus have confirmed their attendance while Infiniti will also be showcasing the M35h hybrid saloon [seen below] which was best in class at last year’s ALD Automotive / Shell FuelSave MPG Marathon.

The EV & Low CO2 Fleet Show will open to fleet operators on 18 April at Silverstone race circuit. Free tickets along with further details are available from evfleetshow.co.uk.
