Win a Volkswagen Transporter Bluemotion for three months

Just a couple of days ago we told you about Volkswagen’s new, highly efficient Transporter Bluemotion van (see story).

Using the brand’s familiar Bluemotion emission-reducing technology, the new Transporter Bluemotion now boasts emissions as low as 166g/km and fuel economy as high as 44.8mpg.

Now a new competition, run in conjunction with The Mirror, will give someone the chance to try out the new Transporter BlueMotion for three whole months to see for themselves just how much they could save in fuel bills.

The van comes complete with a full tank of fuel, which means that the lucky winner could travel as much as 780 miles before having to stop to refuel.

Using an efficient 2.0 litre 114 PS TDI turbocharged engine, the Bluemotion model offers an improvement of over seven miles per gallon in combined fuel economy compared to the standard models with 84 PS and 102 PS TDI engines, plus a 32 g/km reduction in emissions.

To enter the competition, simply go to www.Mirror.co.uk/vwcv before the 9 November deadline and explain in 150 words (or less) how the Transporter BlueMotion would help you.  Full terms and conditions can also be found here.

Commenting on the competition, Mark Hopkins, Head of Marketing for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles said: “This is not only a great way to demonstrate the efficiency of the new Transporter BlueMotion, but it could also really make a difference to someone’s business or charity by saving valuable money on their fuel bills.”

The Mirror.co.uk promotion with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles also includes van-buying and fuel saving tips, a secret ‘love of vans’ confession by motoring journalist Vicki Butler-Henderson, and a ‘Volkswagen Fan in a Van Football Ground Challenge’ with Robbie Savage and Ben Collins (formerly The Stig).
