Eco-conscious London commuters can now use their iPhone to order one of Climatecars’ low emitting taxis.
The free app can be used to reserve a hybrid or electric minicab any time of the day, all year round, anywhere in the capital.
It also allows customers to pay their fare using a credit or debit card or by logging into their Climatecars account. Registration is not required either; first time users just need to enter their name and mobile number.
Climatecars Founder and MD Nicko Williamson expects the new app to open hybrids up to a wider audience.
He commented: “More individuals are now able to use Climatecars and book quickly. Our competitive cash rates, bookable on the app, gives more Londoners the ability to make a convenient green choice to get around London.
“Our fleet of hybrids is now one of the largest in London, so the app should make it even easier to use Climatecars.”
Climatecars’ taxi fleet mainly consists of Toyota Prius models with the odd Renault Fluence Z.E. dotted about too.
