A company that provides sustainable charging to electric cars is expanding nationwide, in a bid to get EV owners charging from solar power.
Herefordshire-based My Solar Port provides oak-framed solar-powered car ports with an integrated charging point to power an electric car, from renewable solar energy, for a truly zero-emission drive.

The firm uses sustainably sourced timber to build its solar car ports and gazebos, which can also be used to provide power to the home, hot tub or outdoor kitchen.
Achieving peak power of 3.04 kWp under full sunlight, it can provide as much as three quarters of the energy needed to power the average three bedroom home.
Prices for a car port start from £13,299+VAT and are installed by the company’s authorised MCS solar engineers.
“ We are very passionate about sustainability and are delighted by the growth and interest in electric vehicles.” says Director, Darren Morgan “ By offering traditional oak frames and bespoke designs, we provide a beautiful alternative, which is sympathetic to rural architecture, making a perfect solution for electric car owners across the UK.”
