History of the Micro-Vett Ydea
The Micro-Vett company has been operating since 1987 in the field of electric transition. In 1991 it began working on the electrification of light, medium and heavy commercial vehicles used for transport. It has worked in partnership with numerous famous brands including Fiat, Piaggio and Iveco.
These partnerships and original designs led Micro-Vett to the development of innovative electric vehicles, including one aimed at tourists and another aimed at disabled people. Now it has expanded into the mainstream with the Micro-Vett Ydea, a car that answers increasing demand from mainstream motorists for an electric vehicle that produces zero emissions and can save cash with fuel prices escalating.
Environmental credentials of the Micro-Vett Ydea
The Micro-Vett Ydea is a practical and clean car that is available to drive without a licence. As with all electric cars it has no carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and with energy increasingly generated from renewable sources, its overall emission levels are far lower than that of a conventional vehicle.
Whereas many electric cars are viewed as slow and clunky, the Micro-Vett Ydea can address many of these concerns and may tempt traditional drivers over to electric power. For example, it has a lithium-ion battery pack that is capable of a range of more than 100 miles – at its launch this was the best range of any electric car in the UK.
Furthermore, the Micro-Vett Ydea has all of the traditional financial incentives that are associated with electric cars. These include being exempt from the London Congestion Charge and vehicle excise duty. The car will also receive free parking in many forward-thinking boroughs.
