Nissan designs its vehicles with consideration of the entire vehicle’s life cycle to facilitate recycling and make the most effective use of our planet’s limited, precious natural resources. Beginning with the March introduced in fiscal 2001 and continuing with the Cube, Lafesta and all new models launched since 2005, we have achieved recoverability of 95% and more in Japan. Efforts are currently underway to raise the effective recovery rate globally for end-of-life vehicles to a target level of 95% by weight.
