To travel through certain parts of London, you need to pay a congestion charge, currently at £8 per day. The only cars presently exempt from the charge are alternative fuelled, bi fuel or dual fuel vehicles, electric cars and some LPG converted vehicles. Residents of within the congestion charging zone are eligible for a 90 per cent discount if they pay the charge for a week or more at once. All alternative fuelled cars eligible for the 100 per cent discount on the congestion charge must first be registered on the PowerShift Register, for more details, click here.

Toyota Prius
Honda Civic Hybrid
Electric cars such as quadricycles like the G-Wiz
Saab Biopower cars
